Its aqueous solution has a pH of about 5.3 and a melting point of 272 °C. Dipotassium ethylenediaminetetraacetate has a wide range of uses. It can be used to complex metal ions and separate metals. It is also used in detergents, liquid soaps, shampoos, agricultural chemical sprays, antidotes, and is commonly used in blood anticoagulants.

Application of dipotassium ethylenediaminetetraacetate (EDTA-2K):
1.
