Analysis of common problems and causes in the use of serum separation gel:
A. Glue difficulty: the temperature is too low. In winter, the temperature drops, the weather is cold, the viscosity of separation gum increases, and the process of adding gum is difficult. On the one hand, in winter, glue is heated. Serum gel can withstand high temperature below 80 ℃. In addition, reducing the viscosity of separation gum can also solve some problems, but it is not the fundamental solution.
B. Flow: after the serum separation gel is added, the flow distance of the separation gel is too large when the test tube is placed horizontally, and some even flow to the nozzle. This is because the intermolecular chemical force has not been fully recovered and the network state has not been formed. The first solution is to increase the thixotropy of the separation gel, but it will cause the difficulty of adding the gel; the second is to put it upright for several hours, and then put it flat after the thixotropy of the separation gel is restored.
C. Bubble problem: vacuumize after adding glue, bubbles will appear in serum separation glue, or bubbles will appear after irradiation sterilization. This is because there is invisible air in the separation glue during the process of adding glue. When heated in vacuum or during irradiation sterilization, the air in the serum separation glue slowly expands and becomes visible bubbles. In the process of separating glue production and adding glue, air should be reduced as much as possible.
D. The problem of blood separation glue not turning over: some blood separation glue collection vessels will not turn over in clinical practice, usually due to insufficient centrifugal force or insufficient centrifugal time. Increasing centrifugal force or prolonging centrifugal time will basically solve the problem. There are also some serum gel because of aging and other factors do not flip, belongs to the quality of the gel.
E. Turn the serum separation gel over to the serum: This is caused by the small specific gravity of the separation gel. In recent years, this kind of situation will not appear basically. Before and after 2010, our company had caused this situation because of the detection error, which caused great problems to customers, and the company also lost a lot.
F. Detector alarm: in clinical examination, the problem of blood vessel alarm often appears. In the past, the industry always thought that it was caused by oil drops or fragments of separation glue. After years of follow-up analysis, we have found the root cause of this problem. The alarm of the instrument is that the blood is not completely coagulated and centrifuged, which causes the fibrin filament to float in the serum. When the probe sucks the sample, the fibrin filament is inhaled into the probe, which causes the instrument to block and give an alarm.
