CAS 9041-08-1 Heparim Sodium White Powder Blood Anticoagulant for Green Vacutainer Tubes
Heparin Sodium is the sodium salt form of heparin. As a glycosaminoglycan anticoagulant, heparin sodium binds to antithrombin III to form a heparin-antithrombin III complex. The complex binds to and irreversibly inactivates thrombin and other activated clotting factors IX, X, XI, and XII and prevents the transformation of fibrinogen to fibrin. (NCI)
There are many kinds of blood anticoagulants, among which heparin sodium and heparin lithium are commonly used. Heparin sodium is a kind of acid mucopolysaccharide natural anticoagulant containing sulfate group. They are placed in the blood collecting vessels with different color caps, among which the green cap is heparin tube. Heparin sodium is commonly used in China, and its main function is blood anticoagulation, and the use of calcium ion The combination prevents the formation of thrombin and the coagulation of blood.
Heparin sodium can be used for the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic diseases, such as myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism, cerebral vascular embolism, peripheral venous thrombosis, etc. it can avoid the formation and expansion of thrombosis, and can also be used for the early stage of DIC, and other anticoagulation in vivo and in vitro. Early application can avoid the depletion of fibrinogen and coagulation factors, and can also replace citrate in blood transfusion or as an extracorporeal anticoagulant during cardiopulmonary bypass.

Heparin sodium can delay or prevent blood coagulation both in vivo and in vitro. The mechanism of its effect is very complex, which affects many links in the coagulation process. The results are as follows
(1) to inhibit the composition and effect of coagulation activating enzyme, so as to prevent prothrombin from turning into thrombin;
(2) at higher concentration, it can inhibit thrombin and other coagulation factors, and prevent fibrinogen from transforming into fibrin;
③ It can prevent platelet aggregation and destruction. In addition, the anticoagulant effect of heparin sodium is still related to the sulfate radical with negative charge in its molecule. Alkaline substances with positive charge such as protamine or toluidine blue can neutralize its negative charge, so it can inhibit its anticoagulant effect.
Heparin is the general name of heparin sodium, heparin calcium, heparin lithium and low molecular weight heparin. Heparin sodium is the sodium salt of sulfated aminoglucan extracted from the intestinal mucosa of pigs or cattle, which belongs to mucopolysaccharide.
