Application of Luminol in criminal investigation

The amount of catalyst required for this reaction is very small, so Luminol can detect traces of blood. The luminescence lasts about 30 seconds, which can be observed through long exposure photos, and the surrounding environment should not be too bright.

Luminol is a chemical fluorescent molecule that can be converted into an excited amino phthalate in the presence of hydrogen peroxide molecules, which emits strong fluorescence.
