Usage
Buffer preparation in biochemical and molecular biology experiments; pharmaceutical intermediates; preparation of surfactants and vulcanization accelerators; preparation of water-soluble polymers containing Tris structural units as paint dispersants; preparation of indoor formaldehyde adsorption materials, etc.

Application
Tris is often used as biological buffer, and its pH value is 6.8, 7.4, 8.0, 8.8. Its structure formula, pH value changes greatly with temperature. Generally speaking, the pH value decreases by 0.03 for each degree of temperature rise.
Tris is widely used in the preparation of buffers in biochemistry and molecular biology experiments. For example, both TAE and tbe buffers (used for nucleic acid dissolution) commonly used in biochemical experiments need to use Tris. Because it contains amino group, it can condense with aldehyde.
Tris is a weak base, and its PKA is 8.1 at room temperature (25 ℃; according to the buffer theory, the effective buffer range of Tris buffer is between pH7.0 and 9.2.
The pH value of Tris base aqueous solution is about 10.5. Generally, hydrochloric acid is added to adjust the pH value to the required value to obtain the buffer solution of the pH value. However, the effect of temperature on the pKa of Tris should also be noted.
