Application of CAPS
Now the PVDF membrane of protein does not use Tris-gly, SDS, and 20% methanol buffer, because there are glycine in the buffer, so it is difficult to distinguish between the BUFFER band or the protein itself when sequencing. The membrane buffer for sequencing is 10mM/l CAPS, 10% methanol. The concentration range of methanol in the CAPS imprinted buffer solution is 0~20%, and the buffer solution with high concentration of methanol has good effect on the transfer of low molecular weight protein, while the low concentration of methanol or the buffer solution without methanol is beneficial to the transfer of high molecular weight protein.
In biological experiments, it is an important reagent for PH stabilization. Usually, an appropriate weak acid is selected and its conjugate base is mixed to obtain a suitable pH value. Most biological reactions take place under neutral conditions, generally the pH is selected between 6-8, and the effective buffering range of the buffer is also required to be between 6-8.
