Use
As a buffer system commonly used in DNA screening system, it can also be used as a buffer component of RNA samples. It is suitable for the study of electron transfer and phosphorylation of thin-layer chloroplast preparation. It can protect oxyhemoglobin from oxidizing to methemoglobin during freeze-drying process, and can also be used as a background electrolyte for protein microanalysis by capillary zone electrophoresis.
Advantage
The purity (> 99%) is water-soluble, the process is stable, and the appearance of the product can be guaranteed to be pure white crystal powder.
Application of biological buffer TAPS Good quality TAPS sodium salt CAS 91000-53-2 used as biological buffer
TAPS is a member of biological buffers. It has a wide range of applications. It can be used in DNA screening systems and can be used as buffer components for RNA samples. TAPS is usually used for electron transport and phosphorylation studies of chloroplast thin-layer preparations.

pH 9.0 | 1,000ml(A)+800ml(B) (A):(B)=5:4 |
During the freeze-drying process, it can protect oxyhemoglobin from oxidation to methemoglobin. It can also be used as a background electrolyte for capillary zone electrophoresis for protein microanalysis.
The full name of TAPS is trimethylol methylamino propane sulfonic acid, CAS number 29915-38-6, molecular formula is C7H17NO6S, white crystals, volatile irritating odor emitted in the air at room temperature. Water solubility is good, usually the concentration is 25g/50ml, the solution is generally colorless and transparent, and very clear. Its pH value is between 7.7 and 9.1, and its pKa value is 8.4.
TAPS is also used as a zwitterionic buffer in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology. Among them, it can be used as an important pH stabilizing reagent in biochemistry experimental projects. It is generally mixed with weak acids and conjugate bases to obtain appropriate PH value. TAPS reacts with most organisms under neutral conditions. The pH value is required to be selected in the range of 6 to 8, and the effective buffer range of the buffer should also be specified in the range of 6-8. Moreover, it is necessary to ensure that the pH form of the buffer reagent cannot chelate with certain metal chemical ions. In addition, in the field of clinical diagnosis, TAPS is also commonly used as a biological buffer. Usually used in some biochemical diagnostic kits, PCR diagnostic kits, DNA/RNA extraction kits and other kits.
